This site is reader-supported. Here’s exactly how that works.

The short version

Some links on this site are affiliate links. Click one, buy something, and the seller pays us a share of the sale. You pay the same price you would going to the seller directly. Nothing is added to your order.

Which programmes we take part in

We work with affiliate programmes run by performance-marketing networks and by the brands’ own affiliate systems. What we receive is usually a fixed amount per completed sale.

The specific terms, including what we’re paid, are confidential between us and the seller. We don’t publish them, and we don’t let them decide what we write.

How you can tell

Any page with an affiliate link shows a disclosure notice near the top, above the links. Where a page carries a link of its own, there’s a second, shorter note directly beneath the button.

You will never reach an affiliate link on this site without having seen one of those first.

What it doesn’t affect

Our verdicts. A product with an affiliate programme gets the same scrutiny as one without. Products we don’t rate get negative verdicts, and we publish them anyway.

Our scoring. Scores come from the five dimensions on the methodology page — ingredient transparency, value, purchase terms, claim accuracy and customer-reported results. What a product pays isn’t one of them.

The price you pay. That payment comes out of the seller’s margin. It isn’t added to your order.

Whether we cover something. We’ve written about products that pay us nothing, and published unflattering verdicts about products that pay us well.

Advertising

Some pages may carry third-party advertising, served independently of anything we write. We don’t ask readers to click ads, and ads never sit somewhere they could be mistaken for a product recommendation button.

Health information

Nothing on this site is medical advice, and no product we cover is presented as a treatment or cure for anything. Supplements aren’t medicines. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional before starting one, especially if you take prescription medication or manage a health condition.
